Mewar Festival: A Photo Story – Udaipur, India

We’ll let the photos do the talking for this post.  We lucked out big time to be able to attend Udaipur’s Mewar Festival where Rajastani women assemble to pray for good husbands.  The ladies (and young girls) dress in their finest clothes and parade idols resembling Isar (Shiva) and Gangaur (Parvati) down the street to the edge of Pichola Lake.  The result is a visually stunning festival!  Pretty cool, huh?

If you ever have the opportunity to attend this festival, jump on it!  It was one of the most memorable events of our trip!
